O Prêmio Connected Smart Cities consiste em reconhecer e premiar negócios inovadores que colaborem para que as cidades possam ser mais inteligentes.
A premiação aceita a participação de qualquer pessoa jurídica com sede no Brasil, que apresente um negócio inovador que contribua com as necessidades do cidadão.
The Award accepts the participation of any legal person with the head office in Brazil, which presents an innovative project that contributes to the problem resolution of cities, in order to make them smart cities. There is no limit of inscriptions per company.
There are two categories:
Those that did not reached the break even, that is, are being financed by investments and not for the result of the revenues and profits generated. Those are still in the product development phase, marked test, developing marketing actions and communication, among other steps considered pre-operational.
Projects in Operation
Products or services that had already generated revenue for the companies and are completely available on the market.
The Organizing Committee can, in any moment of the competition, change the category of the participant project, if it is judged that the participant was indicated in the wrong category.
The business will be evaluated throughout the contest, taking into account the following criteria:
Suitability to the theme and objectives of the Award;
Contribution to making cities smarter;
Contribution to the solution of city problems; Innovation of the central idea of the business;
Creativity in the presented solutions;
Perception of benefit for the client;
Impacts (environmental, social and economic) in the markets of action;
Feasibility of implementation (financial, human, cultural, technological);
Profile of the entrepreneur and Team experience;
Specifically for businesses already in operation will also be considered:
Stages of Judgment
The judging of the programs will take place in three stages:
1st Stage – Screening
Phase in which the business will be analyzed in order to adapt to the formal aspects of the regulation.
2nd Stage – Evaluation Committee
The businesses that are eligible to continue in the competition will be evaluated by a specialist bank formed by market experts, entrepreneurs, academics, researchers and will be responsible for defining the 5 best businesses in each category, which will be considered finalists of the Prize.
3rd Step – Presentation
This step will happen exclusively during the Connected Smart Cities. During it, the finalists will present their business to the participants of the event and judges, who will choose the top three in each category.
For the presentation, each finalist will receive an invitation to the Connected Smart Cities and should present their business within a maximum of 5 minutes. This presentation will not have a predefined format, and it is up to the participants to choose the most appropriate way to convey to the evaluators the central ideas, making it clear how the business will contribute to making cities smarter.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The Award accepts the participation of any legal entity with headquarters in Brazil, presenting an innovative business that contributes to solve problems of the cities, in order to make them smart.
WHO CAN NOT PARTICIPATE?
Não é permitida a participação de:
- Pessoas jurídicas de direito público (federais, estaduais, municipais, autarquias, etc);
- Pessoas jurídicas, que tenham em seu quadro societário ou de empregados integrantes da Comissão Organizadora, da banca de julgamento, funcionários da Sator, da Neurônio e da Urban Systems, bem como seus respectivos familiares (até em segundo grau);
- Negócios já vencedores em edições anteriores, independentemente da categoria na qual venceu;
- Negócios desenvolvidos por empresas patrocinadoras, apoiadoras ou que tenham em seu quadro societário ou de empregados palestrantes do Connected Smart Cities.

WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES OF THE AWARD?
There are two categories:
