Adalberto Maluf is the Director of Marketing, Sustainability and New Business for BYD Brasil (Build Your Dream), as well as Director for ABVE (Brazilian Association of Electric Vehicles) and member of ABSOLAR board (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy). Adalberto holds a bachelor on International Affairs and an MSc in Internal Political Economy at the Institute of International Relations of University of Sao Paulo (IRI/USP). Adalberto worked with climate change mitigation projects at subnational governments with focus on energy, sustainability and urban mobility. Prior to BYD, Adalberto worked for the City of Sao Paulo (2006-2007) and was the City Director for the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) in partnership with the C40 Cities between 2007 and 2014 in Sao Paulo.

For 24 years in the Computer Science and Information Technology area, he has conducted his career in a hybrid way on three fronts, acting as a Developer, Database and Business Intelligence Specialist, Development Coordinator and more recently as Systems Engineering Specialist , designing and specifying critical systems strongly based on data integration concepts in the areas of Public Safety, OSINT, Smart Cities, Data Analysis and Big Data.
Academically he obtained a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Mackenzie University and later a PhD in Applied Computing from INPE – National Institute of Space Research, in the area of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition.

Conrado Grava de Souza is the Planning Director of the ANPTrilhos – National Association for Passengers Transport on Rail. Brazilian, 69 years old, graduated as Electrical Engineer at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, in 1973. In 1974 he attended to post-graduation courses on “Power Supply” and “Relay Driven Protection” at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. In 1984 he attended to a specialization course on Administration at the Getulio Vargas Foundation, in São Paulo. In 1998 he attended in Japan to a TQM – Total Quality Management course sponsored by the AOTS – Association of Overseas Technical Scholarship. He worked in the São Paulo Metro, from 1984 to 2018. From 2007 to 2010 he was Operations Director. From 1973 to 1974 he worked at TELESP as a telephone station engineer, from 1974 to 1975 he worked at CESP as an engineer of plants and substations and from 1975 to 1984 he worked at Enerconsult as a project engineer in the electrical sector.
Participates in the technical groups of the Subway Division and Security Commission of UITP – International Union of Public Transport, of Alamys – Associação Latinoamericana de Metrôs e Subterrâneos and of ANTP – Associação Nacional de Transportes Públicos.

Felipe Carvalho is Director of Economic Development, Innovation, Technology and Tourism of Santo André – SP. He has been leading several projects to foster and integrate the Ecosystem of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and also the creation of the Technological Park of the city that starts with an Innovation Center. With his entrepreneurial DNA, he worked in the expansion process of the ETIP/Tableau Educational Group, acting in the opening of new basic education and technical education units in 7 cities. He was partner of the largest company specialized in painting of musical instruments in Latin America, Music Kolor and also partner of the startup Poupe Mobile Coupon. Today, he is one of the owners of Organix Agency, developing branding and innovation for large national companies, multinational companies and class associations. He is also a founding member of “Associação Mentores do Brasil”.

Civil Engineer, graduated from the University of Fortaleza (Unifor), Manuela Nogueira holds three post graduations: postgraduate studies in Civil Construction, Technology and Construction Quality, by the Federal University of Minas Gerais, graduate studies in Management of Works and Engineering, by Unifor, and postgraduate in Engineering Assessments and Expertise, by IPOGGO of São Paulo.
Throughout her career as a civil engineer, she worked in engineering consulting companies, where she developed projects, planning, budgets and execution of several works of infrastructure.
In 2013, she joined the City Hall as staff of the Infrastructure Secretariat of Fortaleza, where she was the coordinator of projects of Fortaleza City Hall. During that time, she led important projects for the city, such as the Cocó viaducts, the restoration of the São José Theater, the new hospital, Instituto José Frota (IJF 2), and developed other projects such as Health Stations, Policlínicas (multipurpose health station), Areninhas (soccer fields), Schools and Day Care.
In 2016, at the age of 35, Manuela Nogueira was named Municipal Secretary of Infrastructure, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the city, occupation she currently holds, being responsible for several mobility works such as Aguanambi Avenue, the first completely accessible lane in Fortaleza, with elevators that give access to the walkways, eco-friendly sidewalks and Bus Transit Express rails with stations located in the central zone of the avenue.

Maria Tereza has been granted several awards for recognition due to her work for implementation of the Smart Grid project in the city of Barueri, State of Sao Paulo, among them: selected by Smart Grid Today magazine in 2013 as one of the 50 pioneer executives in the Smart Grid context; selected by The Global Smart Energy Elites 2015 in the `People` category as one of the 10 most visionary professionals in a Smart Grid perspective; and chosen in 2015 and 2016 by the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) to be part of the list of the 50 most influent and important executives which developed business strategic relations promoting the growth of the IT market worldwide

We got the case for the working session figured out. We will work with an issue that affects inhabitants of a neighborhood north of the International Airport, that has several people that work in the Airport itself and the companies housed there. There is a river that separates the Airport from the nearest bus stop, and a small access bridge that only allows walking as means to cross it. We are currently working on the territorial contextualization materials (maps) and on the proper persona narrative regarding this airport worker.

Part of this proposal implies bringing to the city innovations that improve public service and enhances business initiatives.

Your degree is the – Master in Business Administration by UNB / DF (application of information technology and organizational knowledge management); – Specialist in Organizational Strategic Management by URI / RS and; – Bachelor in Computer Science from PUC / RS.
Yours activities are related to the evaluation and development of the industry in Brazil and in the promotion and implementation of the Industrial Policy in the context of “Smart Cities” / “Electric Smart Grid”; “Legislation in Information and Communication Technology”; “Information Technology Software and Services”; “Microelectronics, Displays and Semiconductors” and “Digital Content”.
Carlos Frees coordinates a government working group for development of smart grids and smart cities in Brazil, with partnership of public and private institutions.
He is responsible for the project of “MAPPING SUPPLY CHAIN OF SMART GRID IN BRAZIL FOR GRANTS TO THE BRAZILIAN INDUSTRIAL POLICY”, with the evaluation of national and international cases that impact in Brazil.
He is responsible for shared project for creation of ” BRAZILIAN CORES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF INSTITUTIONS AND SOLUTIONS FOR HUMAN, SUSTAINABELE AND SMART CITIES”, that has the objective of capacity building to the production chain and definition of guidelines for a National Plan for development of Smart Cities.
With frequency he is invited by national and international institutions to lecture on the subject of “development of the country by deploying Smart Grids and Smart Cities with next generation technologies”.
He has participating in international events and surveys in Canada, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, Italy, Spain, France, South Korea, Denmark and the UK beyond cases of evaluation in the US, Finland, Taiwan and Australia, among others.
Participated as a guest expert in conferences and workshops for evaluation, discussion and definition of sectoral strategies in areas and technological routes in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte and the Federal District.
Lead and coordinate the meeting of international cooperation between Brazil and Japan (MDIC x METI) Energy Efficiency, Energy Conservation and “Smart Communities”.
He represented Brazil for international collaboration initiatives in Smart Grid between Brazil vs Japan, South Korea and USA.

Eduardo Kaplan Barbosa holds a bachelor´s degree in Economics (UFRJ) and master´s degrees in Urban and Regional Planning (IPPUR/ UFRJ) and in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard Kennedy School. He started working at BNDES in 2006, initially supporting subnational entities’ investment projects at the Urban Development Department and later conducting the evaluation and design of innovation and regional development policies as an advisor to the President. Currently, he works at the Information and Communication Technology Department as the coordinator of the Smart Cities Environment within the study Internet of Things: an action plan for Brazil, a joint initiative by BNDES and MCTIC.

Dr. Eduardo Moreira da Costa is the founder and the CEO of Pi-Academy (www.piacademy.com.br), international entrepreneurship and innovation consulting firm, and the director of the LabCHIS (Cidades mais Humanas Inteligentes e Sustentáveis- More Humane, Smart and Sustainable Cities) at the UFSC. Professor of the Department and of the Master’s Program in Engineering and Management of Knowledge at the UFCS. Author of the book Global E-commerce Strategies for Small Business (MIT Press, 2001), write and published in English and then translated to Chinese and Japanese (2001 to 2003). Creator and coordinator of the first MBA in e-Gov of the country, the MeGA. Consultant of BID (in the area of e-commerce), World Bank (evaluation coordinator of the InfoDev Program) and the World Economic Forum in the innovation area. In the EUA, was “visiting scholar” at the Harvard University (1997-2002). In Brazil, was the Innovation Director at FINEP (2007-2010), creator of the PRIME, JURO ZERO and 14Bis program (with the strong presence at the Casa Brasileira- Brazilian House- in Johannesburgh in the World Cup 2010 and the Brazilian Embassy Exposition during the Olympics in London 2012); Director of CNPq (1993-1997), creator of the SOFTEX2000 Brazilian software export incentive program; Researcher of the CPqD of the TELEBRÁS and consulting of IEL-National (where he wrote the first Brazilian Manual about electronic commerce, still in 1998) and dozens of companies and organizations. Jamile Sabatini Marques works with Humane Smart Cities at Fecomércio / SC where is the President of the Chamber of Technology and Innovation. In the national sphere Jamile works at ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies as Director of Innovation and Development and is a Post Doc researcher in Knowledge Based Development in the Engineering and Knowledge Management Program at UFSC and participates in the LabChis International Research Laboratory of Humane Smart Cities.

Jamile is a PhD from EGC / UFSC. The research is focused on Knowledge Based Development. She did a Sandwich Ph.D. at Queensland University of Technology – QUT, Australia. She holds a master’s degree in Innovation Management from the École de Mines de St-Étienne (France), a specialist in business management from Univali and a degree in Business Administration from the Ibero-American Faculty of Arts and Humanities. He has experience in the area of ​​management, working mainly on the following topics: innovation, development, investment funds, Humane Smart Cities and institutional representation.
